Project Director, Industrial Manufacturing Construction

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Project Director to provide executive-level leadership for industrial manufacturing construction programs in Dallas. The role oversees operational performance, financial results, risk, client relationships, and team development throughout the project lifecycle.

Project Details

The position supports industrial manufacturing construction work and may direct multiple large or complex projects and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning, preconstruction, project execution, schedule reviews, and contractual performance.
• Manage budgets, profitability, contingencies, change orders, and comprehensive project risk.
• Serve as a senior client relationship executive and develop repeat business opportunities.
• Set subcontractor strategy, oversee trade partner selection, and maintain long-term industry relationships.
• Lead safety culture, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Plan staffing, mentor teams, support company initiatives, and represent JE Dunn in community and industry settings.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least 5 years of people management experience is required.
• Preferred background includes 15 or more years of construction management experience.
• Demonstrated success leading multiple large or complex projects or teams simultaneously.
• Advanced communication, presentation, project management, accounting software, construction technology, Lean, estimating, productivity analysis, and risk management capabilities.
• Working knowledge of CMiC, MBE, WBE, and SBA regulations is expected.

Compensation and Benefits

The position is classified as Professional Non-Union and includes access to JE Dunn’s professional benefits package. Overnight travel and non-traditional hours may be required to meet project needs.
