Job Summary
JE Dunn is seeking a Project Director to lead industrial manufacturing construction programs in Austin. The role provides executive-level direction across the project lifecycle, with accountability for operational performance, financial results, risk management, client relationships, and team leadership.
Project Details
The position supports industrial manufacturing construction work programs, including preconstruction planning, estimating, scheduling, constructability, staffing, contracting, and delivery of multiple large or complex projects.
Responsibilities
- Set strategic direction and oversee project and schedule performance from preconstruction through completion.
- Lead safety culture, incident response, corrective actions, and injury-prevention efforts.
- Manage client relationships, subcontractor strategy, contract issues, change orders, and project risks.
- Guide staffing and resource planning across multiple projects or teams.
- Support business development, community engagement, company initiatives, and industry relationships.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- At least 5 years of people management experience required.
- 15 or more years of construction management experience preferred.
- Proven success leading multiple large or complex projects and/or teams.
- Advanced communication, presentation, project management, accounting software, construction technology, Lean, budgeting, estimating, and risk management capabilities.
- Working knowledge of CMiC, MS Office, MBE, WBE, and SBA regulations.
