Project Engineer 1 - Texas & Oklahoma Locations

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer 1 to support construction operations and field execution across Texas and Oklahoma. The role offers a progression path to Project Engineer 2 and hands-on exposure to project delivery, quality, safety, and closeout activities.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams with field coordination, construction documentation, reporting, inspections, punch lists, and project closeout.
• Assist with estimating, quantity takeoffs, subcontractor proposal reviews, change management, procurement tracking, shop drawings, and deliveries.
• Monitor manpower, equipment, materials, production, self-perform work, and schedule progress.
• Maintain current drawings and specifications and coordinate project meetings and related documentation.
• Participate in safety, quality assurance, Lean construction, and productivity improvement efforts.
• Build effective working relationships with foremen, journeymen, superintendents, subcontractors, and other project partners.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Entry-level construction experience.
• Working knowledge of construction management fundamentals, construction technology, self-perform work, labor productivity, and Lean practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying conditions, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, and reaching.
• Must be willing to work non-traditional hours when project requirements demand it.
