Project Engineer 2, Self Perform Advanced Facilities Group

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Project Engineer 2 for its Self Perform Advanced Facilities Group in Atlanta. The role supports field execution, project administration, self-perform operations, safety, quality, and construction coordination on complex advanced-facility projects.

Project Details

The Advanced Facilities Group delivers industrial and manufacturing facilities, data centers, semiconductor projects, and other technically advanced construction work. This position may support projects requiring travel or relocation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field operations, crew planning, labor and equipment tracking, production reporting, and daily project documentation.
• Support safety planning, toolbox talks, quality activities, inspections, punch lists, and project closeout.
• Help prepare estimates, schedules, work plans, look-ahead plans, and change-management materials.
• Maintain drawings, specifications, procurement logs, submittal tracking, delivery information, and project records.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities and internal support functions while providing updates to project leadership.
• Support project setup and administration in CMiC and other company systems.
• Apply Lean practices, evaluate productivity, manage assigned costs, and help develop self-perform opportunities.
• Build collaborative working relationships with foremen, journeymen, superintendents, subcontractors, and project team members.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least two years of construction experience.
• Working knowledge of construction methods, self-perform operations, labor productivity, project technology, Lean principles, and trade scopes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work accurately, collaborate effectively, assess productivity, and support project teams.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work in varied weather and active jobsite conditions.
