Project Engineer 2, Self Perform Advanced Facilities Group

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Project Engineer 2 to support self-perform construction activities for its Advanced Facilities Group in Brownsville. The role provides hands-on project engineering experience across field execution, project administration, safety, quality, and closeout.

Project Details

The Advanced Facilities Group delivers large industrial and manufacturing, data center, and semiconductor projects. The position supports field teams with crew planning, productivity tracking, procurement, documentation, and self-perform work.

Responsibilities

• Support safety, quality assurance, estimating, change management, scheduling, and project administration.
• Monitor crew size, labor hours, materials, equipment, production, and assigned work activities.
• Prepare daily reports, progress updates, schedules, logs, meeting documentation, and project records.
• Coordinate punch lists, inspections, safety and quality reviews, procurement tracking, shop drawings, and deliveries.
• Assist with subcontractor scope coordination, cost control, crew scheduling, and project closeout.
• Use CMiC and other company systems while applying Lean practices and construction best practices.
• Build effective working relationships with project teams, tradespeople, subcontractors, and field leadership.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least 2 years of construction experience.
• Working knowledge of construction management fundamentals, self-perform operations, labor productivity, Lean processes, and trade scopes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to communicate accurately and collaborate effectively.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours when project needs require.

Compensation and Benefits
