Job Summary
JE Dunn is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to support advanced industrial construction projects in Hillsboro. The role provides hands-on exposure to project coordination, field execution, safety, quality, and construction management practices.
Project Details
The Advanced Facilities Group delivers industrial and manufacturing, data center, and semiconductor projects for innovative clients.
Responsibilities
- Support field operations, self-perform work, crew and production tracking, site observations, inspections, and punch-list activities.
- Assist with estimating, quantity takeoffs, subcontractor proposal reviews, change management, and project reporting.
- Maintain current drawings and specifications, procurement logs, submittal tracking, delivery records, and project documentation.
- Participate in project meetings, scheduling updates, quality and safety reviews, and closeout activities.
- Build collaborative relationships with trades, subcontractors, superintendents, and other project team members while applying Lean practices.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- Entry-level construction experience.
- Working knowledge of construction management fundamentals, construction technology, self-perform work, labor productivity, Lean principles, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organization, accuracy, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in variable weather conditions with frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a professional non-union position with benefits. Periodic travel or relocation and non-traditional hours may be required to meet project needs.
