Project Engineer for the Newark AirTrain

Tutor Perini is hiring a Project Engineer to support project delivery at its Newark AirTrain site in Newark, New Jersey.

Infrastructure Project

Work is based on the Newark AirTrain project, a transportation infrastructure project.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers and superintendents with planning, coordination, safety, quality, and schedule activities.
• Prepare RFIs, work plans, submittals, and time-and-material pricing documentation.
• Track work quantities and costs, help maintain CPM schedules, and coordinate project issues with owners, designers, and engineers.
• Maintain as-built drawings and communicate contract scope to field teams.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, construction engineering technology, or a related field.
• At least seven years of construction experience on heavy civil, bridge, transportation, utility, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with civil infrastructure or heavy civil contractors and coordination of contract, design, and shop drawings.
• Familiarity with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore, HCSS, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or BIM platforms.
• EIT certification or pursuit of a PE license is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Expected salary range is $125,000–$175,000, depending on experience.
