Project Engineer Commercial Construction

Job Summary

Barton Malow Builders is hiring a Project Engineer to support commercial construction project delivery in Nashville, Tennessee, across a diverse portfolio that includes sports and entertainment arenas, healthcare facilities, and higher education campuses.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for tracking and resolving project issues.
• Support superintendents in keeping contractor schedules on track in the field.
• Process submittals and RFIs.
• Assist with managing the overall project schedule.
• Prepare agendas and lead project meetings.
• Help plan and manage site logistics.
• Enforce corporate safety policies on the jobsite.
• Review and evaluate contractor change order quotations and process approvals.
• Manage plan review and approval with local and state municipalities.

Required Experience

• 4-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 1+ years of professional construction experience or related internship experience.
• OSHA 30 preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, particularly in document control and project closeout.
• Detail-oriented, self-directed, and proactive approach to problem solving.
