Project Engineer (Heavy Civil - Structures)

Job Summary

Granite Construction is hiring a Project Engineer to coordinate onsite engineering activities for construction projects, with a focus on structures.

The role supports heavy civil construction and structures work.

Responsibilities

• Manage project controls, schedules, forecasts, budgets, and engineering assignments.
• Support construction planning, quality control, design interpretation, constructability reviews, and resolution of design conflicts.
• Develop project procedures, reporting, and logs, and represent the project in client and management meetings.
• Supervise, guide, and mentor project staff.

Required Experience

• At least four years of construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience.
• Structures work experience is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AGTEK Take-off, and Primavera Scheduling software.
• A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, business administration, or a related field is preferred; equivalent technical training and experience may qualify.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range is $101,370-$152,054. Benefits include paid leave, health and insurance plans, and a 401(k) match for eligible salaried employees.
