Sr Project Engineer - Building

Job Summary

Senior Project Engineer supporting Sundt’s Building division on commercial and vertical construction, serving as a technical resource and coordinating project information with owners, designers, trade partners, and suppliers.

Project Details

The role supports commercial and vertical building projects. Aviation project experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement schedules, material and equipment purchasing, trade submittals, and compliance reviews.
• Support project planning, cost control, budgets, contract administration, and change management.
• Maintain as-built documents, project logs, quantity reports, and closeout materials.
• Prepare and review change orders, track approvals, and help identify and resolve potential claims.
• Coordinate project meetings and may supervise or train Field Engineers.
• Contribute to concrete form design and quantity takeoffs as needed.

Required Experience

• Four-year construction-related degree or equivalent technical training and related experience.
• At least three to four years of similar construction engineering experience; senior-level progression is associated with more than six years of experience and/or larger or more complex projects.
• Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards.
• Commercial or vertical project experience required; aviation experience is a strong plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a multidisciplinary team and supervise or train Field Engineers.
