Project Engineer

Job Summary

Tutor Perini Building Corp. is hiring a Project Engineer to support field operations and help keep construction work aligned with schedules, contract requirements, and project specifications.

Project Details

The role is based on a construction project near Porterville, California, with commercial construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor site progress, coordinate deliveries, and help trades interpret drawings.
• Investigate drawing conflicts and prepare field changes, as-built records, RFIs, and project documentation.
• Check completed work against codes and specifications, and coordinate quality control and closeout activities.
• Support contractor and client coordination, MEP commissioning, scheduling, procurement tracking, and project pricing.
• Follow the company safety program and assist with scope and quality issues.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field, plus at least one year of construction experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Prolog or similar software.
• Experience reading blueprints, construction scheduling, and CAD.
• Field Engineer or Project Engineer experience on commercial construction projects is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Expected salary range is $85,000 to $130,000, depending on experience.
