Senior Project Engineer

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in Santa Clara to manage smaller projects or defined portions of larger projects, supporting project administration, field coordination, cost control, scheduling, quality, and closeout.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate estimating, change management, procurement, submittals, project documentation, and project schedules.
• Monitor field production, labor, materials, equipment, quality, safety, inspections, and progress reporting.
• Coordinate subcontractors and vendors, review pay applications, and manage project risks and assigned scopes.
• Lead meetings, support owner and design-team coordination, and maintain project administration in CMiC and related systems.
• Manage punch lists, inspections, as-built information, operations and maintenance manuals, and other closeout requirements.
• Apply Lean practices, support self-perform opportunities, and provide training and mentorship to team members.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least 3 years of construction experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management and accounting software, construction technology, and Lean methods.
• Knowledge of construction means and methods, subcontractor coordination, labor productivity, project financials, and relevant trade scopes.
• Ability to communicate effectively, collaborate with project teams, lead production efforts, and work accurately in a changing project environment.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary is $112,000-$141,000 depending on experience, with potential for a higher offer based on exceptional qualifications. The position includes a target performance bonus and a Professional Non-Union benefits package.
