Project Engineer 2

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Engineer 2 to support field execution and project administration while developing expertise in construction management, self-perform work, quality, safety, and project controls. The role offers a progression path toward Senior Project Engineer or Superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Support safety planning, quality activities, inspections, punch lists, and project closeout.
• Assist with estimating, change management, schedules, daily logs, reports, procurement tracking, and subcontractor coordination.
• Monitor crews, labor, materials, equipment, productivity, and project costs in the field.
• Maintain drawings, specifications, shop drawing logs, delivery information, and project documentation.
• Coordinate meetings, provide progress updates, and support project administration in CMiC and other company systems.
• Help plan crew activities, maintain look-ahead schedules, and communicate updates to the project superintendent.
• Collaborate with project teams, trade partners, and internal support functions while applying Lean practices.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least two years of construction experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction technology, project productivity, self-perform work, and construction means and methods.
• Ability to communicate effectively, work accurately, build relationships, and collaborate with internal and external partners.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions with frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and reaching.
