Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring a traveling Project Engineer I for its Energy Storage group. The role supports field coordination and project delivery and may be based in California, Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Utah, Ohio, or Colorado, with the final location determined by candidate preference and business needs.

Work supports energy storage construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Interpret plans and specifications for subcontractors and craft workers, and support project quality planning.
• Coordinate permits, project records, contract documents, RFIs, change orders, submittals, testing, inspections, and closeout activities.
• Track project schedules, communicate quality issues to project leadership, and coordinate safety and compliance.
• Support and mentor field engineers and help resolve coordination issues.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, or construction management.
• At least two years of related construction experience.
• Current driver’s license; strong organization, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $84,100-$113,500, with location-based adjustments for certain listed offices. The role is eligible for an incentive plan.
