Project Engineer (Mission Critical)

Job Summary

Barton Malow Company is hiring a Project Engineer to support onsite construction engineering for a mission-critical data center project near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The position coordinates with architects, engineers, owners, contractors, and internal project teams to keep work progressing safely and efficiently.

Project Details

This role supports a mission-critical data center project and involves construction activities from project inception through completion.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance in resolving and tracking project issues.
• Control project documentation, process submittals and RFIs, and maintain the project schedule.
• Support procurement activities, including bid document distribution and bidder tracking.
• Prepare meeting minutes and assist with site logistics planning.
• Apply corporate safety requirements on the jobsite.
• Review contractor pricing for changes, process change orders, and coordinate plan reviews with municipal authorities.
• Communicate project progress and changes with architects, engineers, owners, and contractors.

Required Experience

• Four-year degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• At least one year of documented mission-critical data center experience covering the full project lifecycle.
• One to three years of relevant professional experience or related construction internship experience.
• OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, independent problem-solving, and a proactive commitment to safety.
