Project Engineer - Plant

Job Summary

Garney Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to support project management activities for plant construction work in Tampa. This entry-level opportunity is suited to a detail-oriented professional pursuing project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare submittals and requests for information.
• Coordinate project activities from startup through closeout.
• Support estimating, scheduling, field operations, and crew coordination.
• Assist with material purchasing and negotiations.
• Maintain project records, job costs, and closeout documentation.
• Communicate professionally with owners, architects, engineers, and project teams.

Required Experience

• Degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Strong organization, planning, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel and work the hours required to support project success.
