Job Summary
Kiewit's TIC Power District is seeking a Project Engineer to provide technical and operational leadership for power construction projects in Earth, Texas. The position connects engineering, field operations, project controls, clients, subcontractors, and design partners across the construction lifecycle.
Project Details
TIC Power delivers non-union, direct-hire EPC construction for large-scale power generation and resource facilities, including cogeneration, combined-cycle, geothermal, and waste-to-energy projects throughout North America.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering direction, review technical deliverables, and support work packages, submittals, design changes, and constructability decisions.
- Assist with planning, scheduling, cost forecasting, risk management, startup, commissioning, and project closeout.
- Support safety, quality assurance, inspections, audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
- Lead collaboration among engineering, construction, procurement, operations, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Mentor engineering personnel and contribute to staffing, recruiting, succession planning, proposals, estimating, and continuous improvement.
Required Experience
- At least 10 years of engineering, construction, or project management experience in power, industrial, energy, infrastructure, oil and gas, or heavy civil environments.
- Bachelor's degree in civil, construction, mechanical, electrical, or related engineering discipline.
- Experience with engineering leadership across multiple projects, project controls, scheduling, cost management, quality systems, and large-scale EPC work.
- Professional Engineer license preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, leadership, and collaboration skills, with availability for travel, overtime, and weekends as project needs require.
