Job Summary
Black & Veatch is hiring a Project Engineering Manager for its Industrial Water group in Overland Park, Kansas. In this role, you will oversee the engineering execution of multiple industrial water and wastewater projects — including advanced treatment facilities, underground conveyance, and carbon-neutral solutions — serving clients in food & beverage, technology, mining, and energy.
Project Details
Projects span traditional design-bid-build, design-build, and collaborative delivery models. Work includes industrial water supply, treatment, and discharge projects at the feasibility, design, and construction phases across multiple disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Lead multi-discipline engineering teams on complex industrial water and wastewater projects.
- Prepare and review engineering deliverables, calculations, and equipment recommendations.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements.
- Serve as responsible charge, coordinating cross-discipline production activities.
- Interface directly with clients on project changes, concerns, and business development support.
- Mentor and manage performance of engineering staff, identifying growth opportunities.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of related engineering work experience.
- Active engineering registration or licensure sufficient to serve as engineer of record (EOR).
- Experience with multi-discipline feasibility studies, design, and construction for industrial water projects preferred.
- Prior engineering consulting experience preferred.
