Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to lead engineering execution for municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Las Vegas. The role oversees multidisciplinary teams, technical delivery, client coordination, and project controls.

Project Details

Projects may include advanced water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment plant upgrades and expansions, underground conveyance, design-build, design-bid-build, and carbon-neutral infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineers and technicians across multiple disciplines and coordinate project deliverables.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical documents, equipment recommendations, and material selections.
• Manage budgets, schedules, quality requirements, and project changes.
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, and technical leadership to resolve concerns and advance project goals.
• Review engineering work, mentor staff, and support performance and professional development.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent engineering experience.
• At least five years of related experience.
• Active engineering registration or licensure supporting engineer-of-record requirements.
• Consulting experience and work on multidisciplinary water treatment plant or wastewater treatment plant upgrades are preferred.
• Ability to complete applicable background, drug screening, and motor vehicle record checks.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range is $114,930-$191,940 per year. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability coverage, wellness resources, paid time off, retirement matching, tuition and adoption reimbursement, and employee stock ownership. Flexible or hybrid work may be available after 90 days, subject to manager approval, performance, and assignments. A performance-based bonus may also be available.
