Job Summary

Layne Christensen Company, a Granite Construction subsidiary, is seeking a Project Manager to oversee water resources projects in Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota.

Project Details

The portfolio includes municipal and industrial water well drilling, well rehabilitation, and well pump repair and installation.

Responsibilities

• Manage estimating, bidding, scheduling, project execution, closeout, and financial performance.
• Forecast project costs and revenue, establish budgets, and monitor quantities, costs, revenue, and schedules.
• Coordinate with estimating, project controls, business development, operations, superintendents, and area management.
• Review bids, evaluate project feasibility, and develop bid schedules.
• Build relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, and inspectors, and prepare accurate project reports.
• Support company safety initiatives and maintain a safe work environment.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least one year of project management experience in water well drilling or construction.
• Knowledge of water well drilling or related industry practices.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, communication, organization, and attention to detail; ability to work in a high-production environment.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range is $83,188-$124,782. Benefits include paid leave, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, spending accounts, wellness programs, and a 401(k) match of 100% on the first 6% of eligible compensation deferred, with immediate vesting. Eligible employees and dependents may have access to a PPO plan with premiums fully paid by Granite.
