Project Manager Nuclear Services

Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Project Manager to lead nuclear engineering services from the client site in Richland, Washington. The role manages multiple medium- to large-scale services and coordinates technical, commercial, schedule, quality, safety, and client-delivery requirements.

Project Details

Projects include nuclear plant studies, modifications, design and engineering services, feasibility assessments, and Extended Power Uprate initiatives. Work may also involve EPC execution, generator and transformer upgrades, and application of the industry Standard Design Process.

Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor, and control project execution, financial performance, schedules, quality, contracts, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate discipline engineers, subject matter experts, construction managers, contractors, and client leadership.
• Lead proposals, technical specifications, requests for proposals, bid evaluations, cost estimates, and feasibility studies.
• Oversee EPC contractors, manage multiple concurrent projects, and resolve escalated issues.
• Promote nuclear and industrial safety throughout project development and delivery.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of relevant industry experience with increasing responsibility.
• At least 5 years managing engineering services or EPC projects.
• Experience with nuclear power projects, particularly plant modifications using Standard Design Process IP-ENG-001.
• Strong electrical engineering experience in power generation is preferred, including generator or transformer replacement and upgrade work.
• U.S. citizenship or naturalized U.S. citizenship is required for nuclear export-control compliance.

Compensation and Benefits

Annual compensation is $118,990-$208,230. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability coverage, wellness programs, paid leave, company-matched 401(k), and employee stock ownership. A performance-based bonus may be available.
