Job Summary
Black & Veatch is seeking a mid-level Project Manager to lead nuclear engineering services and EPC work for operating power generation facilities. The role is based at a client site in Richland, Washington.
Project Details
The position supports studies, plant modifications, feasibility work, and Extended Power Uprate projects, with an emphasis on nuclear generation and the Standard Design Process.
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, monitor, and close multiple medium-to-large services and EPC projects.
- Manage financial performance, schedules, quality, contracts, safety, and client satisfaction.
- Lead proposals, technical specifications, RFP support, cost estimates, and bid evaluations.
- Coordinate discipline engineers, subject matter experts, construction managers, EPC contractors, and client leadership.
- Resolve escalated issues while promoting nuclear and industrial safety.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 8 years of relevant industry experience with increasing responsibility.
- At least 5 years of engineering services or EPC project management experience.
- Experience with nuclear power projects and plant modifications using the Standard Design Process is preferred.
- Electrical engineering experience in power generation, including generator or transformer replacement and upgrade projects, is preferred.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or naturalized U.S. citizen due to nuclear export control requirements.
Compensation and Benefits
Annual compensation is $137,712-$234,108. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability coverage, wellness programs, paid time off, a company-matched 401(k), tuition reimbursement, and employee stock ownership. Relocation is not available.
