Project Manager - Transmission

Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Project Manager to lead transmission line projects from the Boston-area office. The role owns project outcomes across engineering, procurement, construction, and client coordination.

Project Details

Manage high-voltage, underground, and overhead transmission line work, with potential assignments involving substations, distribution, private networks, and battery energy storage systems. The position includes a hybrid work arrangement and approximately 25% travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams through design, procurement, and execution phases.
• Develop proposals and respond to requests for proposals for services and EPC work.
• Control project budgets, schedules, scope, and client deliverables.
• Coordinate communication among clients, external stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Promote a strong project safety culture and work effectively in corporate and field settings.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; an engineering or related degree is preferred.
• At least seven years of relevant industry or construction management experience.
• Transmission line experience and experience across multiple project execution phases.
• PE, P.Eng, or equivalent professional licensure is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual compensation range is $126,360-$221,136.
