Project Manager - Utility Scale Renewable Energy

Job Summary

Barton Malow is hiring a Project Manager to lead utility-scale renewable energy construction work from its Southfield or Grandville, Michigan teams. The role oversees project execution, safety, quality, compliance, cost, schedule, and client coordination.

Project Details

The position supports solar projects across the Great Lakes Region, with a preference for candidates who have solar or wind construction experience. Extensive time at active project sites is expected.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate company staff, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, designers, and client representatives.
• Manage project quality, compliance, budgets, controls, schedules, estimates, proposals, and reporting.
• Review submittals, plans, specifications, and technical documentation for design and contractual compliance.
• Coordinate material procurement and delivery to the job site.
• Support turnover documentation, including operations and maintenance manuals.
• Lead and mentor project personnel while supporting client satisfaction and company initiatives.

Required Experience

• Four-year degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Five to eight years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience leading construction staff, subcontractors, and engineering or design teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, multitasking, and independent decision-making skills.
• OSHA 30-hour training is preferred.
• Commitment to proactive safety practices and effective performance in deadline-driven environments.
