Project Manager

Job Summary

The Christman Company is seeking a Project Manager to lead commercial construction work in Central Michigan, coordinating project teams and delivering services to clients.

Project Details

The position supports large-scale commercial construction projects in the Central Michigan region.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate owners, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and project staff on scope, budgets, schedules, risks, and changes.
• Develop project staffing plans, schedules, bid packages, and project-specific goals.
• Manage bidding, subcontract agreements, trade scopes, and contractor relationships.
• Oversee project records, contract documents, work orders, and change orders.
• Coordinate planning services such as estimating, scheduling, value engineering, and reporting.
• Keep project teams informed and clarify expectations through meetings and project documentation.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• At least five years of commercial construction experience in a progressively responsible leadership role.
• Relevant training or coursework in construction management, project management, safety, or communication.
• Strong organization, communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
