Project Manager - Water/Wastewater

Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Project Manager to lead water and wastewater initiatives from its San Antonio office. The role combines client leadership, project delivery, business development, and team development within an employee-owned infrastructure firm.

Project Details

Work supports municipal and government clients across water and wastewater treatment, linear infrastructure planning and design, asset management, and related infrastructure modernization efforts.

Responsibilities

• Develop client relationships, market strategies, proposals, budgets, contracts, and presentations.
• Direct project execution, including engineering oversight, performance goals, implementation, budgeting, invoicing, payments, and performance reviews.
• Coordinate internal teams and owner representatives while supporting market and account planning.
• Mentor staff and recommend training, promotions, and team expansion opportunities.
• Travel to client sites and participate in client and community activities.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 15 years of program or project management and relevant technical experience.
• Background in water and wastewater treatment, linear infrastructure planning and design, and asset management.
• Business development and program or project management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles, standards, and applicable design guides.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The position is full-time with hybrid or flexible work options potentially available after the first 90 days.
