Job Summary
Black & Veatch is seeking a Project Manager to lead water and wastewater infrastructure work in Texas. This employee-owner will manage multidisciplinary teams and oversee successful project delivery from planning through construction and startup.
Project Details
The role supports multi-million-dollar water-related infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater treatment, linear infrastructure planning and design, asset management, and engineering-procurement-construction services.
Responsibilities
- Manage project cost, schedule, quality, risk, safety, contractual compliance, and client satisfaction.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and startup activities, including third-party contributors.
- Lead project staffing, team integration, performance reviews, budgeting, invoicing, and payment activities.
- Oversee engineering managers and maintain communication with clients and owner representatives.
- Support market strategy, business development, proposals, client presentations, budgeting, and contracting.
- Mentor team members and recommend training, promotion, and recruiting priorities.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of program or project management and technical experience preferred.
- Background in water and wastewater treatment, linear infrastructure planning and design, and asset management preferred.
- Business development and program or project management experience preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable standards preferred.
