Project Superintendent - Energy Marshall

Job Summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Project Superintendent serving as Energy Marshall for a data center project in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This field leadership role will help establish a strong safety culture while coordinating project execution with the Project Manager.

Project Details

The position supports a data center construction project and involves coordinating subcontractor field forces, electrical quality control, inspections, scheduling, and commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead subcontractors and field teams on the jobsite.
• Maintain compliance with company safety policies and fulfill Energy Marshall duties.
• Coordinate schedule and budget activities with Project and Commissioning Managers.
• Prepare two-week look-ahead schedules and update computerized project schedules.
• Support subcontractor buyout and selection, then coordinate subcontractor work.
• Perform electrical quality control and inspections.
• Communicate with owners, designers, engineers, vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Complete project documentation accurately and on time.
• Help develop team members and maintain productive jobsite relationships.

Required Experience

• At least 5 years of Project Superintendent experience.
• Electrical construction background required.
• Data center project experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to interpret construction documents and understand construction methods and materials.
• Strong organization, leadership, mentoring, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and job-related software.
• Bilingual English and Spanish skills are a plus.
