Job Summary
Black & Veatch is seeking a Renewables Project Manager to oversee utility-scale solar EPC projects of 75 MW or larger. The role sits within the company's Power Providers group and focuses on repeat-client portfolios, enabling efficient resource transitions across projects. Regular site visits are expected during construction, but no permanent field assignment is required.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of EPC and services projects, including cost, schedule, quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
- Lead multi-discipline project teams and coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and startup activities.
- Oversee third-party contributors and integrate their work into the broader project plan.
- Support contract negotiations and pursue repeat or new business on mid-size projects.
- Manage project risk, including fixed-price engineering, new technology, and new client engagements.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- 5+ years of experience in engineering, construction, or project management preferred.
- Prior EPC experience in the power industry or utility-scale solar strongly preferred.
- Ability to complete pre-employment screening including background check and drug screen.
