Safety Manager, Mission Critical

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Safety Manager to lead field safety operations for mission-critical construction projects in Beaverton. The role manages safety programs, supports project teams, and advances a proactive safety culture.

Project Details

This position supports mission-critical construction work and coordinates with field and project management personnel.

Responsibilities

• Direct and implement field safety programs across construction projects.
• Communicate safety requirements with foremen, superintendents, project managers, and safety staff.
• Conduct project audits, identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and verify timely abatement.
• Manage incident reporting, investigations, accident statistics, trend analysis, and claims coordination.
• Administer drug and alcohol testing in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Support safety training, metrics review, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, health, construction management, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute.
• 8 or more years of construction safety experience.
• 0 to 2 years of team leadership or management experience.
• Advanced communication skills and proficiency with safety programs and software.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, local, and company safety regulations.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
