Safety Manager - Primoris Heavy Civil - Louisiana

Job Summary

Primoris Heavy Civil is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety programs and help protect personnel on heavy civil construction projects in Louisiana.

Project Details

Work includes transportation infrastructure such as highways, ports, airfields, rail, and marine construction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee project safety plans, inspections, training, meetings, and emergency procedures.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project leaders to incorporate safety into project planning and execution.
• Maintain safety records and ensure appropriate use of personal protective equipment.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years of construction safety experience, including 3 years in management; heavy civil experience is preferred.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required; OSHA 500 preferred. CSP or CHST certifications are desirable.
• Knowledge of construction safety regulations and experience developing safety programs and training.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently to Louisiana project sites.
