Self-Perform Superintendent, Concrete

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Self-Perform Superintendent, Concrete, to lead field execution for projects of moderate complexity. The role oversees self-performed concrete work, project coordination, safety, quality, scheduling, staffing, materials, equipment, and successful project closeout.

Responsibilities

• Direct subcontractors, suppliers, company personnel, and self-perform crews while coordinating overall site workflow.
• Develop and maintain work plans, schedules, production goals, budgets, cost tracking, and project documentation.
• Lead safety, quality, daily coordination, trade, owner, architect, and project review meetings.
• Manage site logistics, materials, equipment, formwork, tools, timecards, procurement processes, and labor productivity.
• Monitor self-perform progress and adjust operations to support schedule, cost, quality, and project risk objectives.
• Coordinate project changes, closeout activities, pre-punch work, inspections, and communications with project stakeholders.
• Support project pursuits, staffing, buyout, negotiations, and development of project preplans.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of construction experience, including 3 years in field supervision.
• Experience with self-perform operations, concrete or related trade scopes, labor productivity, construction means and methods, and project scheduling.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, project management and accounting software, scheduling tools, construction technology, Lean principles, layout, and crane flagging and rigging.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary is $121,000-$152,000, depending on experience, with eligibility for a target bonus tied to individual and company performance. The position is part of a professional non-union benefits package.
