Self-Perform Superintendent, Concrete

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Self-Perform Superintendent, Concrete, to oversee field execution, self-performed concrete operations, workforce coordination, safety, quality, scheduling, and project closeout in Mesa, Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, company staff, materials, equipment, and site logistics.
• Develop work plans for self-performed concrete activities and monitor labor productivity and progress.
• Lead safety efforts, investigate incidents, and reinforce an injury-free work environment.
• Coordinate daily and weekly trade meetings, owner and design meetings, project reviews, and change management.
• Maintain schedules, reports, drawings, logs, cost information, timecards, and inspection documentation.
• Support procurement, formwork and equipment selection, quality control, pre-punch activities, and project closeout.

Required Experience

• At least 3 years of construction experience, including 1 or more years in field supervision.
• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Working knowledge of concrete or related trade scopes, self-perform operations, labor productivity, construction methods, scheduling, project controls, and layout.
• Intermediate proficiency with MS Office, project management and accounting systems, scheduling software, construction technology, crane flagging, and rigging.
• Ability to communicate effectively, conduct presentations, collaborate with project stakeholders, and work non-traditional hours when project needs require.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
