Self-Perform Superintendent, Precast and Steel

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Self-Perform Superintendent, Precast and Steel, to manage field execution for moderately complex construction projects and self-performed operations in Mesa, Arizona. The role oversees production, safety, quality, staffing, materials, equipment, documentation, and project coordination from planning through closeout.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontractors, company crews, suppliers, site logistics, and overall workflow.
• Develop work plans for subcontracted and self-performed activities, including precast and steel operations.
• Build, maintain, and adjust project schedules in coordination with project management.
• Lead daily and weekly coordination meetings and participate in owner, architect, and project review meetings.
• Direct safety, quality assurance, staffing, labor productivity, material procurement, equipment selection, and cost tracking.
• Maintain project records, drawings, logs, reports, timecards, inspections, and closeout documentation.
• Identify project risks, manage changes, support negotiations, and recommend solutions to field issues.
• Supervise pre-punch work and coordinate final closeout activities with project stakeholders.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of construction experience and 3 years of field supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, self-perform operations, labor productivity, scheduling, project controls, and construction technology.
• Intermediate proficiency with MS Office, project management and accounting software, scheduling software, Lean processes, layout, and crane flagging and rigging.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours when project needs require.
