Senior Project Engineer, Oklahoma City

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in Oklahoma City to manage smaller projects or assigned scopes within larger projects. The role combines project administration, field coordination, estimating, scheduling, quality, safety, and closeout activities, with a path toward Project Manager.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate field execution, safety, quality, inspections, reporting, meetings, drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Lead estimates, change requests, subcontractor and vendor selection, procurement tracking, submittals, and assigned project schedules.
• Review subcontractor and vendor pay applications and monitor production, project risks, costs, resources, and productivity.
• Manage assigned scopes through punch lists, inspections, as-built documents, operations and maintenance manuals, and final closeout.
• Use CMiC and other construction technologies while applying Lean practices and supporting self-perform opportunities.
• Build effective working relationships with project teams, trade partners, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Provide training and mentorship to other team members.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least 3 years of construction experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management and accounting software, and required construction technology.
• Knowledge of construction means and methods, project processes, Lean principles, self-perform work, labor productivity, and trade scopes.
• Ability to communicate effectively, collaborate across teams, lead production efforts, and optimize project profitability.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and work at project sites or in an office, including non-traditional hours when needed.

Compensation and Benefits
