Senior Project Manager - Water/Wastewater

Job Summary

Garney Construction is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead water and wastewater construction operations in Suffolk, Virginia. The role oversees project management staff, financial performance, business development, and client relationships.

Project Details

The position supports water and wastewater infrastructure projects and requires flexibility to travel or relocate as operational needs change.

Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Project Managers.
• Review initial budgets, cost projections, and work-in-progress forecasts.
• Identify new business opportunities and support business development efforts.
• Work with project teams to develop value engineering solutions.
• Maintain strong relationships with owners and engineers.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• At least eight years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, address urgent matters, and support operational requirements.
• Willingness to travel and/or relocate.
