Senior Superintendent - Water/Wastewater

Job Summary

Garney Construction is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead water and wastewater construction operations in Suffolk, Virginia. The role requires substantial experience with a self-performing general contractor.

Project Details

Lead water and wastewater infrastructure work while coordinating field execution, project controls, subcontractors, and craft personnel.

Responsibilities

• Set jobsite safety expectations and oversee quality control.
• Develop six-week look-ahead schedules and track the overall project schedule.
• Coordinate with project management, review costs, and manage labor quantities.
• Prepare daily and periodic project reports.
• Manage subcontractors, train craft workers, and mentor other superintendents.

Required Experience

• 10 or more years of water and wastewater construction experience with a self-performing general contractor.
• Degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Willingness to travel and/or relocate.
