Sr. Project Manager - Water/Wastewater

Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead water and wastewater infrastructure work from its Texas operations. This employee-owner role combines client leadership, business development, project delivery, and team development.

Project Details

The position supports municipal and government clients on water and wastewater infrastructure programs, including planning, asset management, capital improvement optimization, treatment facilities, and linear system design. The role is based in Austin with relocation assistance available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Lead marketing, client engagement, proposals, presentations, contracting, and project budgeting for new opportunities.
• Manage client relationships and contribute to regional market and account strategies.
• Oversee engineering managers, project performance goals, execution, budgets, invoicing, payments, and performance reviews.
• Coordinate with internal teams and owner representatives throughout project delivery.
• Mentor staff and support training, promotion, and team growth.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Twenty or more years of relevant water engineering experience spanning water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Experience with treatment systems, linear infrastructure planning and design, asset management, and capital improvement programs.
• Business development and program or project management experience.
• Texas Professional Engineer license preferred.
