Job Summary
Overland Contracting Inc. is seeking a Site Manager to lead construction, startup, commissioning, and turnover for conventional power generation projects in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Project Details
The role supports simple-cycle and combined-cycle power projects, coordinating site construction, equipment erection, direct-hire craft labor, subcontractors, suppliers, startup teams, testing, and owner representatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead site execution from mobilization through commissioning and contract closeout.
- Manage construction planning, project controls, budget, schedule, quality, materials, safety, and change orders.
- Direct site staff and coordinate with project management, contractors, craft labor, suppliers, owners, and startup personnel.
- Review monthly performance, identify risks, resolve field issues, and maintain alignment with project objectives.
- Support staffing, mentoring, contractor meetings, site coordination, commissioning readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Implement site-specific procedures, quality assurance practices, safety programs, LEAN construction methods, and closeout documentation.
Required Experience
- At least 5 years of construction management experience on similar projects with a bachelor's degree, or 8 years of experience including 3 years at superintendent level or above without a degree.
- Preferred background includes 10 or more years in conventional power generation construction and at least 3 years as a Site Manager.
- Self-perform or direct-hire experience in simple-cycle or combined-cycle power construction is strongly preferred.
- OSHA 10 certification is required.
- Ability to complete applicable background, drug-screen, and motor-vehicle-record checks.
- Ability to perform physical construction-site work, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, working at heights, and extended outdoor shifts.
