Superintendent 2 - Healthcare Construction

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Superintendent 2 in Houston to lead the field execution of moderately complex healthcare construction projects. The role oversees project delivery from planning through closeout while supporting safety, quality, schedule, cost, and team objectives.

Project Details

This position supports healthcare construction work in the Houston market and may manage a stand-alone project or a substantial portion of a larger project.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, company staff, materials, equipment, and site logistics.
• Manage project safety, quality, workflow, production, scheduling, and field documentation.
• Lead daily coordination, trade, owner-architect-contractor, and project review meetings.
• Develop and adjust work plans and schedules with the project manager.
• Monitor project changes, costs, risks, labor productivity, and self-perform operations.
• Maintain project records, reports, drawings, logs, inspections, and closeout activities.
• Support procurement, buyout, staffing, pursuit, and change negotiation processes.
• Promote an injury-free, diverse, and inclusive project environment.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 5 years of construction experience and 3 years of field supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, project management software, accounting systems, and construction technology.
• Experience with Lean principles is preferred.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours as project needs require.

Compensation and Benefits
