Superintendent

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Superintendent in Tempe to lead moderately complex construction projects from planning through closeout. The role oversees field operations, project teams, schedule, safety, quality, production, and client coordination.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, staff, field supervisors, site logistics, and construction workflow.
• Plan and adjust sequencing, schedules, work plans, staffing, materials, equipment, and self-perform activities.
• Lead safety, quality, daily standup, trade, owner-architect-contractor, progress, and project review meetings.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, logs, drawings, cost information, timecards, and inspection records.
• Coordinate project changes, procurement, closeout, pre-punch work, and communication with owners, designers, authorities, and trade partners.
• Identify project risks, recommend solutions, support business development, and cultivate long-term client relationships.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 8 years of construction experience, including 5 years of field supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, project management and accounting software, construction technology, Lean practices, trades, self-perform work, layout, and rigging.
• Intermediate communication, presentation, collaboration, budgeting, and scheduling capabilities.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours when project conditions require.

Compensation and Benefits
