Superintendent, Aviation

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking an Aviation Superintendent in Mesa to oversee field execution, safety, quality, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and project closeout for aviation-related construction work. The role manages projects of moderate complexity and supports timely, profitable delivery.

Responsibilities

• Direct site operations, subcontractors, suppliers, company staff, materials, equipment, and workflow.
• Lead safety, quality, daily coordination, trade, owner, architect, and project review meetings.
• Develop and maintain work plans, schedules, staffing plans, documentation, reports, and site records.
• Coordinate project changes, budgets, procurement, risk management, quality controls, and closeout activities.
• Support project pursuits, buyout, negotiations, field planning, recruiting, and collaboration with project leadership.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of construction experience and 3 years of field supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, project controls, accounting systems, construction technology, trade scopes, self-perform work, layout, and rigging.
• Intermediate communication, presentation, software, Lean process, budgeting, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid unrestricted driver's license required; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours as project conditions require.
