Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring a Level I or II Superintendent to coordinate lockout/tagout and pre-energization work on data center projects. The role oversees contractors and craft teams while supporting safe, well-coordinated field execution.

Project Details

Assignments are at data center sites in Lebanon, Indiana; Pampa, Texas; and Rayville, Louisiana. This is a pre-energization role, not a commissioning position.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate LOTO activities, verify electrical isolation, and oversee craft work in the field.
• Plan work, materials, equipment, and inspections to support project schedules.
• Review construction documents, coordinate design plans, and manage schedules and site logistics.
• Supervise, coach, train, and develop team members and project partners.
• Monitor safety, quality, risk, and compliance, and identify opportunities to improve processes.

Required Experience

• Superintendent I: at least 5 years of construction management or related experience; Superintendent II: at least 8 years.
• An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related construction or engineering field, or 10 years of trade experience.
• Understand electrical theory, medium-voltage switching, and electrical schematics.
• Ability to manage 5–10 craft workers, organize multiple tasks, and travel up to 100%.
• Current driver’s license; intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• NFPA 70E certification preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $111,400–$167,100 for Superintendent I and $130,100–$195,200 for Superintendent II, with compensation based on experience and location. The role is eligible for an incentive plan.
