Superintendent II

Job Summary

Mortenson is seeking a Superintendent II to oversee field operations within a project discipline, coordinate construction teams, and support strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Plan labor, materials, equipment, inspections, logistics, and short-term schedules to support project delivery.
• Review contract and construction documents, coordinate with design engineers, and resolve discrepancies.
• Lead site orientations, planning sessions, and project meetings while coordinating with partner superintendents.
• Supervise project partners, foremen, and craft crews; support hiring, coaching, training, and performance management.
• Track production and work hours, and oversee project safety, quality, risk, and compliance.

Required Experience

• At least eight years of construction management or related experience.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in a relevant construction or engineering field, or ten years of trade experience.
• Current driver's license and ability to travel up to 100%.
• Experience managing multiple complex projects, intermediate Microsoft Office skills, and knowledge of construction law and business practices.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $130,100-$195,200, with location-based increases in select markets, and eligibility for an incentive plan.
