Superintendent - Self-Perform Carpentry Lead

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Superintendent 2 to lead self-perform carpentry operations and manage field execution for projects in Nashville. The role oversees safety, production, quality, scheduling, materials, equipment, documentation, and coordination with project partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage self-performed carpentry work, subcontractors, suppliers, field staff, and site logistics.
• Develop work plans, coordinate daily and weekly meetings, and maintain project schedules with the Project Manager.
• Lead safety, quality assurance, documentation, reporting, material procurement, equipment planning, and project closeout activities.
• Monitor self-perform progress, labor hours, costs, risks, changes, and productivity.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, authorities, design teams, subcontractors, and internal resources.
• Support staffing, recruiting, project pursuits, buyout meetings, contract administration, and project reviews.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of construction experience and 3 years of field supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, self-perform labor productivity, layout, rigging, scheduling, project controls, and construction technology.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management and accounting software, scheduling software, and Lean processes is preferred.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours when project conditions require.
