Superintendent - Self-Perform Concrete

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Superintendent 1 to coordinate field operations and self-perform concrete work, supporting safe, timely, quality-focused, and profitable project delivery in Nashville.

Responsibilities

• Direct subcontractors, field staff, suppliers, materials, equipment, and jobsite workflow.
• Develop and adjust work plans and schedules for subcontracted and self-performed work.
• Lead daily and weekly coordination meetings and participate in owner, architect, and project review meetings.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, drawings, logs, inspections, cost information, and timecard approvals.
• Monitor safety, quality, productivity, budgets, change impacts, procurement, and project closeout activities.
• Coordinate staffing, support recruiting, and promote a diverse and inclusive field culture.

Required Experience

• At least 3 years of construction experience and 1 year of field supervision experience.
• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, self-perform operations, labor productivity, scheduling, layout, rigging, and project controls.
• Intermediate communication, presentation, Microsoft Office, scheduling, project management, and accounting software skills.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours as project conditions require.
