Traveling MEP Superintendent 3 Aviation

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Traveling MEP Superintendent 3 to lead moderately complex aviation construction projects. This role manages field operations, project sequencing, staffing, safety, quality, and coordination from project start through closeout.

Project Details

The position supports JE Dunn’s national Aviation Vertical and may involve travel or relocation to assigned project sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage stand-alone projects or major project portions, including multiple field supervisors.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, company staff, equipment, materials, and site logistics.
• Develop and maintain construction schedules, work plans, budgets, cost tracking, and project documentation.
• Lead safety, quality assurance, daily standups, trade meetings, progress meetings, and closeout activities.
• Manage project risks, changes, procurement processes, self-perform work, and field staffing.
• Communicate with owners, designers, authorities, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Support pursuits, client relationships, presentations, and future business development.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least 8 years of construction experience and 5 years of field supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, project controls, trade scopes, self-perform operations, and labor productivity.
• Intermediate proficiency with MS Office, project management and accounting systems, scheduling software, construction technology, and Lean processes.
• Advanced layout, crane flagging, and rigging knowledge.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Compensation and Benefits

The position is classified as Professional Non-Union and includes a company benefits package. The work may require travel or relocation, non-traditional hours, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
