Traveling Project Manager Sports & Entertainment Market

Job Summary

Barton Malow Builders is seeking a Traveling Project Manager to lead large-scale sports and entertainment venue construction — stadiums, arenas, and event spaces — across the Carolinas and Georgia market. This is a highly visible, travel-intensive role on some of the most complex and high-profile builds in the country.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement from bidders list development through subcontract execution, including complex design-assist and professional services agreements.
• Build and manage complex project schedules, site logistics plans, cash flow projections, and constructability reviews.
• Establish and oversee the jobsite safety culture and emergency crisis procedures.
• Own cost management including general conditions budget, trade budget structure, change management, and job profitability monitoring.
• Coordinate BIM/overhead MEP coordination and owner equipment processes.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, code official interfaces, and project closeout documentation.
• Support business development by contributing to RFP responses and client presentations.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 6+ years of GC/CM construction management experience.
• Sports venue construction experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia as projects demand.
