Traveling Senior Superintendent - Healthcare Construction

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Traveling Senior Superintendent to lead complex healthcare construction assignments for its National Healthcare Division. The role oversees project execution, field teams, sequencing, safety, quality, and completion while supporting company goals and client relationships.

Project Details

This position travels full-time, up to 100%, to healthcare project assignments across the country. Project locations may change according to business needs and may not be identified in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex stand-alone projects or multiple projects from planning through closeout.
• Lead multiple superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff.
• Plan construction sequencing, work plans, staffing, materials, equipment, and site logistics.
• Direct safety, quality, schedule, cost tracking, productivity, and project risk management.
• Coordinate daily and weekly trade meetings, owner-architect-contractor meetings, project reviews, and closeout activities.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, schedules, logs, inspections, and cost information.
• Partner with project management on changes, procurement, buyout, budgets, and contract requirements.
• Support project pursuits, client relationships, recruiting, training, and future business development.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 10 years of construction experience and 8 years of field supervision experience.
• Advanced knowledge of construction means and methods, trades, self-perform work, labor productivity, layout, crane flagging, and rigging.
• Experience with project management, accounting, scheduling, and construction technology systems.
• Working knowledge of Lean processes is preferred.
• Valid unrestricted driver's license required, along with the ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours as project needs require.
