Traveling Superintendent 3 - Healthcare Construction

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Traveling Superintendent 3 to lead moderately complex healthcare construction projects from mobilization through closeout. The role manages field teams, subcontractors, sequencing, safety, quality, schedule, and project execution while supporting client relationships and future business development.

Project Details

This position is part of the National Healthcare Division and requires assignments at project locations across the country. The specific project and location may change according to business needs.

Responsibilities

• Direct project site operations, subcontractor workflow, staffing, logistics, materials, equipment, and self-performed work.
• Develop and maintain construction schedules in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Lead safety, quality, daily coordination, trade, owner, architect, and project review meetings.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, drawings, logs, inspections, cost records, and timecard approvals.
• Manage project risks, changes, closeout activities, and coordination with owners, design teams, and authorities.
• Support project pursuits, client relationships, recruiting, and development of future work.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 8 years of construction experience and 5 years of field supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, project management and accounting software, construction technology, Lean practices, layout, crane signaling, and rigging.
• Valid unrestricted driver's license required.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours in changing weather conditions.
• Experience with Lean principles is preferred.
